Three resorts operated by the Mexico Grand Hotels Group in Los Cabos have been granted the prestigious “S” Badge by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism.
The S or Sustainability Badge is awarded to companies that have met demanding environmental standards.
The Mexican government’s S badge supports certifications that are issued by Earth Check and Rainforest Alliance, are aligned with global sustainability criteria, and are promoted by the World Tourism Organization and The Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Mexico Grand Hotels Group is pleased to announce the S designation has been awarded to:
- Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences
- Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa
- Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences
The designation recognizes companies that promote best sustainable practices, combining tourism development with conservation and the improvement of natural and cultural resources.
The Vice-President of Mexico Grand Hotels and representatives from each of the three resorts were on hand to accept the designation from the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Baja California Sur and the Executive President of the Hotel Association of Los Cabos.
“We are delighted to receive another achievement by our resorts by obtaining the prestigious S Badge in three of our top properties,” said Mr. Alejandro Macías D., Vice-President of Mexico Grand Hotels.
This recognition program rewards sustainable practices and efforts to minimize the environmental footprint while still maximizing the experience of guests. In Baja California Sur there are 12 companies with the S designation, including nine in the Los Cabos area. The Mexico Grand Hotels recipients are three of those nine resorts.
Hacienda Encantada, Marina Fiesta and Vista Encantada are three world-class resorts in the Los Cabos area, where the desert meets the ocean and luxury meets beauty.
Hacienda Encantada and Vista Encantada are located on the corridor not far from the city of Cabo San Lucas. They are perched overlooking the Sea of Cortez and the Cabo San Lucas Bay.
Marina Fiesta is located on the Golden Zone in the Cabo San Lucas marina. All three resorts are known for their luxury and amenities, and the outstanding service provided to guests. This designation confirms that the resorts are also committed to best environmental practices to ensure the continued enjoyment of the area by tourists and locals alike.
